Orlando the early favorite to win AAF title
During various points in last night’s broadcast of the QB Draft, the league shared various odds. Many of the them favored the Apollos, including the first odds to win the championship.
The initial odds have the Apollos at 5-2 to win the inaugural Alliance of American Football title game. They are followed up by the San Diego Fleet (4-1) and the Arizona Hotshots (5-1).
The Apollos also topped the league in wins when it came to highest over/under at 6.5. That matches with them being the favorites, but these totals were a little more spread out, with the lowest totals going to Atlanta and Birmingham at 4.
Despite being Vegas’ favorite team, the Apollos are not the clubhouse leader for league MVP. The oddsmakers favorite is taking the field at 2-1, but as far as individual players the top name is San Diego’s Josh Johnson at 5-1 odds. That’s not surprising given that Johnson was the top pick in the QB Draft (a protect pick) and that Johnson has been a starter in the NFL. Still, the Apollos’ own Garrett Gilbert comes in second place at 6-1 odds.
